Hi There! Easter is just around the corner and I can't wait to have some fun watching my kiddos hunt for some eggs, I have so many plans for them...
This DIY Garland is just an alternative to use the banner templates from my EASTER COLLECTION, I made it for a photoshoot and I really like the how it turns out. It's an easy project , you can make this weekend and get ready to celebrate the big day with style!
To make this Easter Garland you will need to download the templates.
Material needed:
- Banner templates;
- Twine;
- Hot glue / gun;
- Plastic eggs (approximately 24 units)
- Ribbon;
- Wire or any kind of stems;
- Small screw driver (to make holes on the eggs) and lighter;
- Spray adhesive;
Instructions:
- Print it out the Easter Banner (2x each page) and cut it out;
- If your eggs doesn't have holes on it, heat a screw driver and make a hole on the bottom and another on the top of each egg;
- Attach the twine on the wire (I didn't have a wire, so I used a Chenille stem) using a little bit of hot glue;
- HAPPY WORD - cut approximately 60" of the twine - Starting from the top, pass the twine through the first egg and make a knot very close to the top of the egg, so the egg won't slip;
- Glue the twine on the middle of the H letter (make sure the letter it's not up side down);
- Apply spray adhesive on the other H letter and stick both toghether;
- Put another egg, then the next letter;
- Repeat these steps until you put the last letter, to finish use 2 eggs on the bottom to make the garland heavier, you can also alternate the letters using Ribbons instead of eggs;
- EASTER WORD - approximately 70" twine
- BUNNY/BIRD 3 templates garland - 42" twine
- BUNNY/BIRD 4 templates garland - 48" twine
Have fun!
xoxo,
Wanessa
